Where is CIGNA Pharmacy Management® available?
This benefit is available to CIGNA International expatriate members in the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. There are more than 45,000 participating pharmacies including major discount outlets like Walgreen's, CVS and Wal-Mart as well as independent pharmacies.

Where is prescription drug coverage available outside of the United States or Puerto Rico?
Prescriptions can be filled anywhere in the world outside the US. The claim forms and processes
for reimbursement are the same for any other kind of medical expense. The claim form is standard
no matter what kind of medical expense is submitted, and reimbursement is usually issued within
10 business days.

Who can use CIGNA Pharmacy Management®?
The benefit is for expatriates and covered family members when purchasing drugs within the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Prescriptions can be filled by presenting the CIGNA International ID card to a pharmacist at a participating pharmacy.

What is the advantage of purchasing prescription drugs through CIGNA Pharmacy Management®?
With CIGNA Pharmacy Management, only a co-pay is required to pay for prescriptions.

Are claim forms required for prescription drugs?
No. Claim forms are needed only when filling prescriptions at non-participating pharmacies,
or when prescriptions are filled at pharmacies outside the U.S. where claim forms are required.

Does CIGNA Pharmacy Management® cover fertility medications?
Fertility medications are not available through the CIGNA Pharmacy Management® network of participating pharmacies
or the Tel-Drug® mail order benefit. However, if an employer has selected optional fertility coverage,
their expatriate employees may submit a claim for these prescriptions.

How does a member use the Tel-Drug mail order service?
Members can use the Tel-Drug self-service site at
Tel-Drug Web site, or by calling Tel-Drug at 1-800-835-3784 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Central time, M-F, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday. Callers outside the U.S. will have to use a long distance calling card or credit card to complete the call.

Can Tel-Drug prescriptions be mailed to another country?
Tel-Drug does not ship medications outside the U.S. and its territories; however, Tel-Drug service can ship medications to APO addresses for U.S. military personnel and civilian defense contractors outside the United States if the prescriptions are written by a U.S. licensed physician. For delivery purposes, the US Postal Service considers APO addresses to be domestic, even through delivery make take place to US government facilities abroad. Members with an APO address can utilize the self-service link to request that Tel-Drug contact the U.S. based physician for a copy of the prescription. Members wishing to utilize this service who have prescriptions written by U.S. military doctors outside of the U.S. should mail their prescriptions to:
